2023 -Taichung crazy summer trip
First thing about this crazy trip that you should know is that this is my first time driving without my parents and even not telling them, cause I am afraid that they may not allow it. The second insane thing is that it was actually a typhoon day-off that day. The funnest part of the first day was that I’m too afraid to drive on my own, so I asked my Taipei friend and a Taichung friend to took the train to Tainan first and three of us went to Taichung together. With them in my car really makes driving easier and we sing and laugh so hard all the way. We had dinner at Ping’s house and went to Wanggaoliao for night scene. At last, we finally arrived at a friend's house, where we were going to sleep at almost 12 o’clock.
The first destination was the Port of Taichung. We had a lot of fried seafood there and it was pretty good and definitely worth going. After feeding our stomach, we went to Mitsui outlet park. Even though we had already had our lunch, we still had donuts and kept walking toward the food area. We then play basketball at China Medical University. It was raining cats and dogs because of the typhoon that afternoon, but with our extreme basketball craving it can’t stop us. After about 4 hours, when we finally felt exhausted and hungry we were stranded at the basketball court due to the heavy rain. We got all wet when we arrived at the restaurant. We were starving and that every course of the meal that came up at our table was finished within 10 seconds, it was extremely funny and hilarious. Then we drove around an hour to Tachia to visit one of our friends who is also our basketball teammate at the ice shop that she worked at. We went to Macdonald together after she got off work. After a short break we left Tachia and headed to Feng Chia night market. Except for the 4 hours of playing basketball, we were having food for the entire day!! We went to so many places that day that even Ping, the most energetic person I had ever met , was sleepy at the night market. Fun fact was that we went through 74 Urban Expressway 8 times in a single day! What a day!!!
We went to Lugang on the last day of our trip. On our way there, we tried the new Caramel Brownie McFlurry, and one of my friends was choked by the cocoa powder on the top of it. Without any surprises, everyone bursts out laughing immediately. All the way to Lugang all of us kept laughing so hard whenever someone told a stupid joke or someone acted out an amusing behavior. We spent the whole afternoon at Lukang Old Street and bought dried fruit as a thank you gift to our friend’s parents for letting us stay at their house. Another interesting thing about this trip was that we didn’t see our friend’s parents in person for the whole two nights while we stayed there, only saying hollow to the photo of them in the living room. We ended this trip after having a hotpot at Lugang. It was such an terrific trip. We had together experienced so many things for the first time. I guarantee that this wast the best road trip I have ever had. I love all of them so much and I am so grateful for having them as my friends in my life.
