2023 12/16~12/22
This unforgettable trip started with 12 people and 7 motorcycles gathered at the dormitory’s side entrance. It took us around 2 hours and 15 minutes to go to Asia university in Taichung. Although it sounds exhausting for such a long ride, but with all of us riding together and the wonderful countryside landscape throughout the whole way it turned out to be a decent ride.
In my freshmen year, due to a lot of seniors being on the team, I used to be a bench player. This year, even though I'm not a starter yet, I do get a lot more time on the court. After all the games, all I can say is I really need more practice. If it wasn’t my bad passes there were supposed to be a lot of good opportunities for fast break and easy baskets. Moreover, defense is something we should put more effort in, for example, all the 5 players in the team should be boxing out whenever someone shoots the ball, however, there are so many times that only a few of us do it, which leads to the other team being extremely easy to get the rebound. Last but not least , I think our coach probably should be paying more attention either to the game and to the team. He had never coached me about how to play as a center and always had me play as a power forward, but during the game he had me playing center all of a sudden !! Just for notice, none of our center was injured at that moment ! All I had in mind at that moment was " What the fxxk ! What should I do?” Regardless of all the things that happened, I’m still feeling grateful for being in this team and being able to play with all my wonderful teammates.I learned a lot after the games and love all the moments when we cheer and yell after our teammates scored.
I assisted Ping for 2 points !!
Ping is really a good shooter!!
Look at her catch and shoot !
It was a nice restaurant because it has unlimited rice! That is quite a key point cause including me there are a lot of foodies in our team so we really need unlimited rice HAHA.
We visited Lalaport. We went there for literally window shopping. One of the team members had a serious foot injury so we borrowed a wheelchair for her. The funny thing was that everyone started to sit on it and try different ways of how to move by itself.
The last few days were super cold, so we had ginger duck for dinner. Our coach paid for it!! We made and gave a card to our leader that day to thank her for being the best leader, best senior and also all the sacrifices she had made for our team. I’m really going to miss her a lot after she graduates.
I think what I’m going to miss the most is all the late night girls talks!! We have it every night, like every night. We talked about everything, boys, girls, basketball, EVERYTHING. These late night talks really make us closer and get to know each other more, especially between me and teammates in other grades. I feel so lucky to have them as my teammates and my best friend at the same time!! They have no idea how much I love them and the team.
CCU women basketball forever!!
